It’s our last blog of 2021 and that means it’s the perfect time to look back at the year and reflect on how it went. We all remember the low points (kicking off a new year with yet another lockdown being high on that list!) but focusing on the positives and our achievements is a far better way to be! For a business which has thrived over the years by demonstrating our products and chatting face-to-face with horse owners, we were so grateful to survive the craziness of 2020. Starting 2021 with another lockdown and uncertainty around the competition season wasn’t ideal. But we kept our chins up and carried on with our exciting plans for growth and expansion.
A new EquiAmi website
March saw the launch of a brand-new EquiAmi website, something that was many hours in the making and desperately needed in this new, digital world we work in. It went down a storm with our customers and social media followers and is the perfect place to learn more about EquiAmi products. There are videos showing you how to fit the lunging aid and how it’s used. We explain in detail what sets our lunge aid apart from the competition and you can easily browse and buy the products. Even when equestrian competitions resumed and it was possible to book trade stands again, having a proper digital footprint for EquiAmi is a great way to future proof our brand. If you’re reading this blog but you’ve never had a good look around, why not spend a few moments browsing today?
A new EquiAmi lunge line
In May we launched a new product which really reflects the EquiAmi ethos. We put horses at the heart of everything we do, and our new lunge line is no different. The lunge line has markers to show when the horse is working on a 10, 15 and 20m circle, so that the handler can be totally consistent on either rein. That makes it easier to ensure the horse is working evenly on both reins and spot if they have an issue bending on one or the either. It’s crafted from soft, padded material with a heavyweight solid brass swivel clip. This has proven to be very popular with our customers and hope that it’s helped them make their lunging sessions accurate and effective!
Eventing successes for Jo’s horse Grafiba
Once equestrian sport was fully up and running our Director Jo was able to go and see her beautiful horse Grafiba being campaigned by eventer Fred Powell. The duo took a brilliant second place in the CCI-S 3* Section C at the Barbury International Horse Trials in July, and there are high hopes for next year’s eventing season. Jo has also been bringing another horse on at home and is aiming to compete with him herself next year.
A Christmas message from the team
As we near the Christmas holidays and the end of 2021, Jo and the rest of the team here at EquiAmi would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to all our customers and followers for your support this year. It’s been another rollercoaster ride (we wonder when life will get back to ‘normal’!), but, thanks to all of you, we’re able to keep spreading the word about EquiAmi and the amazing difference it makes to horses. We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year – we’ll be back in 2022 raring to go! We have some exciting things to share with you next year which we can’t wait to reveal…
