Catching up with our sponsored riders…

Now that summer is just around the corner and the competition season is well underway, we thought it was high time to see how our sponsored riders are getting on. We love hearing how their campaigns are getting on and which horses they are taking out and about each week. First up is a rider who headed to one of the biggest events in the world a few weeks ago to make her 5* debut at the one and only Badminton Horse Trials.

Rose Nesbitt

Sponsored rider Rose and her beloved EG Michelangelo have done everything together since she bought him as a five-year-old during her gap year before university. From tackling their first BE100 all the way to going double clear at the 4* long format at Blenheim last year, Rose has produced the horse, known at home as Jack, herself from her base in Ludlow, Shropshire. Their success at Blenheim earnt the duo their 5* qualification, and we were very excited to see them head off to Badminton for their debut at eventing’s highest level. Rose was over the moon to complete, coming 48th out of 52 riders who completed, and she successfully navigated a fearsome cross-country course which ended the hopes of horse and rider combinations with far more experience. We are so very proud of Rose and Jack and can’t wait to see what they get up to next.

Victoria Bax

Another of our sponsored riders is the international event rider and UKCC Level 2 British Eventing-accredited coach Victoria Bax. Victoria is based in Rochford and specialises in retraining ex-racehorses after falling in love with an ex-racer called Crystal Ka. Victoria is currently competing two horses, Albertas Pride who is entered in the CCI2* short format at Rockingham this month, and Albertas Rose who won at Horseheath at the start of the month. We love seeing Victoria work her magic with ex-racehorses and know how useful the EquiAmi is for helping to teach horses to accept contact and work in a strong, engaged outline during their education. Good luck at Rockingham, Victoria!

Ben Edwards

Last, but by no means least, we have 24-year-old event rider Ben Edwards.  Ben is competing to 4* level and is currently the number two rider for Chris Burton and is based at his yard in Dorset. Ben had a very busy day at Aston-le-Walls recently with four rides in three classes but did an amazing job. He has some super horses to bring on and is under a very expert eye with Chris Burton, so we are excited to see how far he can go.

Our sponsored riders truly show that the EquiAmi is beneficial for horses and riders of all levels and ages. It provides a fantastic workout for topline muscles without the weight of the rider in the saddle and is so helpful in re-educating horses about contact and self-carriage. We hope you’ll give our sponsored riders and follow and cheer them on to more successes during the rest of the season.
