Merry Christmas from the EquiAmi team!

December is here! The weather has turned cold, social media is filled with images of Christmas trees and it’s probably high time you had a mulled wine and/or mince pie – if you haven’t already! We’ve been busy here at EquiAmi HQ posting parcels to all the different corners of the UK – hopefully to make lots of people happy on Christmas morning when they unwrap them. It seems like yesterday that we were all on tenterhooks waiting to see if Christmas would go ahead, or if we would be thrown back into some kind of lockdown at the eleventh hour!

We will be operating on special Christmas hours over the holiday, so please bear that in mind if you’re getting in touch with any queries about the EquiAmi or any of our other products. You can still purchase things from our website at this time, but please note that they won’t be posted until our next working day! On a similar note, if you’re still hoping to snap up something from EquiAmi for a Christmas present for a loved one, please do bear in mind the nightmare that is the Royal Mail, DPD and other service providers.

Of course, this time of year is when we all tend to reflect on the past 12 months and start setting resolutions and goals for the next 12. We think 2022 has been a complete whirlwind, largely thanks to finally being able to get out competing, head as spectators to our favourite events, go on holiday and just live life more freely without the spectre of lockdowns and restrictions. We’ve been busy here at EquiAmi spreading the word far and wide about our lunge aid and working with different researchers to quantify the benefits of using it. We think it’s important that when we talk about how the EquiAmi can help horses, we can back those words up with evidence!

Our director Jo has enjoyed seeing her event horse Grafiba, who is campaigned by the talented young rider Fred Powell, tackling the 4* short format at Bramham International, Barbury International and Hartpury International Horse Trials. We can’t wait to see what they achieve together in 2023 as they continue their journey.

What are your goals and aims for the year ahead with your horse? Perhaps you have a new or young horse to get out with for the first time, or you’re hoping to step up the levels in your chosen sport this year? We also know lots of people will be keeping things simple to keep on top of money and the cost of living. So, if your aims for 2023 are to enjoy spending time with your horse and not have any huge aims at all – we say, bring it on!

So, whatever your plans are for the festive season, we hope you have a wonderful time. For some, the perfect Christmas might be spent with as many friends, family and loved ones as possible, rushing madly from one house and roast turkey to another! For others it might be carving out as much time as possible to ride and then squeezing in people around the horse… whichever you are, we hope you have a wonderful time – Happy Christmas from everyone at EquiAmi!
